Welcome to UCD Centre for Emergency Medical Science
The Centre for Emergency Medical Science (CEMS) is a division of Community, Legal & Forensic Medicine at the UCD School of Medicine & Medical Science in Belfield, Dublin 4
The Centre was established in 2001 as a Teaching, Research and Academic Centre to provide a national centre of excellence for research, development and training in pre-hospital emergency care. The principal activities of CEMS are:
Diploma in Emergency Medical Science
Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medical Science
MSc in Emergency Medical Science (Advanced Paramedic)
MSc in Emergency Medical Science (Immediate Care)
Immediate Care Courses
The MERIT Project
In addition, CEMS contributes to UCD undergraduate courses, e.g. First Year of Medicine, Final Year of Medicine (Professional Completion Module)
CEMS research projects are funded by a range of agencies:

CEMS in accredited by the Irish Heart Foundation and the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council for the delivery of a range of courses in the area of Pre-Hospital Care.
