Registration & Abstract Call Open: 2014 Rosacea Symposium (14-15 March)

The cause of rosacea is unknown and the management of this common condition with its chronic and recurring symptoms can be a challenge. This symposium will bring together leading international experts to present the latest clinical and research updates on rosacea. The programme includes invited speakers, short presentations and poster sessions on current approaches to management and future prospects for improved treatment. Click here to download the 2014 International Symposium: Update on Rosacea poster with programme

Registration

All those wishing to attend the symposium must register in advance. The deadline for registration is Friday, 7 March 2014.

Registration fees can be paid online here. 
Registration fee €100
Industry rate €250
Registration fee includes lunch on Friday and coffee breaks.

No registration fee is required for residents in training or postgraduate students. Students must provide their student number when registering on arrival. Residents are asked to provide confirmation of their status. 

Abstract Submission

We invite researchers who would like to present a poster to submit an abstract of their work. The deadline for abstract submission is Friday, 28 February 2014.

To submit an abstract, please complete the 2014 International Symposium: Update on Rosacea - Abstract Submission Form and return it to Ruth Foley at rosacea.symposium2014@ucd.ie.

  • Abstracts will be considered from academic or industrial researchers investigating the causes, phenotypes or clinical management of rosacea. 
  • Abstracts must be a maximum of 300 words and include background, methods, results and conclusions. The title, authors and addresses are not included in the word limit.
  • Authors will receive confirmation that their abstract will be presented as a poster by Wednesday, 5 March 2014. 
  • Posters should be A0 size and portrait orientation. 
  • Prizes will be awarded for the best posters.

The Stillorgan Park Hotel has reserved a limited number of rooms on 13-14 March for 2014 Update on Rosacea, at €87 per person per night for bed and breakfast. Bewley’s Hotel is located a 12 minute drive away from UCD and is served by the Aircoach (route 702) from Dublin Airport. The Stillorgan Park Hotel is located a 5 minute drive away from UCD and is served by the Aircoach (route 700) from Dublin Airport. A courtesy shuttle bus service will be provided between the recommended hotels and UCD.

Visitors should note that accommodation in Dublin around the time of 2014 Update on Rosacea may be limited. The annual St Patrick’s Festival will be running over the weekend, ending with St Patrick’s Day on Monday, 17 March.
