Professor/Full Professor Of Dermatology and Director of Charles Institute UCD School of Medicine
Applications are invited for the Director of the Charles Institute /Professor/Full Professor of Dermatology.
The Professor/Full Professor will be the Director of Research and Training in Dermatology at the Charles Institute of Dermatology, University College Dublin. The Director will plan and co-ordinate a strategy for translational research consistent with requirements set down by the Board of the Charles Institute of Dermatology.
The Professor/Full Professor of Dermatology will be a full-time/part-time appointment in the UCD School of Medicine.
The post holder will establish a research group to carry out translational research within an area of cutaneous biology i.e, cancer, genetics, inflammation/immunology, epidemiology and/or environmental dermatology. The post holder will be expected to organise research programmes in one or more of these disciplines and will obtain research funding to further such work.
The post holder will organise and participate in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes in dermatology at the Charles Institute of Dermatology, the UCD School of Medicine and affiliated clinical sites in the Dublin Academic Medical Centre (DAMC), the Ireland East Hospital Group (IEHG), and the Children’s Hospital Group.
