About the Centre

UCD Centre for the History of Medicine in Ireland based in the UCD School of History, is an interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to the study of the medical humanities. Members work in collaboration with staff in a number of Schools within the university and beyond. Established in 2006, the Centre seeks to promote the study of the social and cultural history of medicine.  Its research and other activities are supported by a range of funding bodies. Centre staff deliver a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules.
