The Office of the Vice-President for Innovation at University College Dublin is delighted to be hosting the first ever TEDxUCD event.
TEDxUCD will take place on 12 June 2013 (9:30 am - 4 pm) in The FitzGerald Chamber, a great venue in the recently opened UCD Students Centre.
One of the speakers in TEDxUCD event is Luke Prendergast. He is currently undertaking a UCD Earth & Natural Sciences PhD Programme as part of the Geotechnical Research Group in UCD's School of Civil Structural and Environmental Engineering, under the supervision of Dr Kenneth Gavin. His research area is monitoring the effect of scour around structures using changes in dynamic characteristics. Originally from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, he studied Civil & Environmental Engineering at University College Cork where he graduated with First Class Honours in 2011.
