This tradition is nowhere more evident than in the largest and longest established school of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems in Ireland. Combining high quality clinical and academic programmes for nurses and midwives with a cutting-edge health systems programme of research and education, the school prepares graduates to promote and protect health, wellbeing and dignity across the human lifespan.

Hands-on clinical practice is provided at the School’s renowned partner hospitals, including St Vincent’s Healthcare Group, the Mater Misericordiae University hospital, the National Maternity Hospital, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and Saint John of God Hospital. Research activity focuses on the development of the nursing and midwifery resource, social gerontology, mental health, women’s and children’s health, cancer care, palliative care and health systems.
