UCD School of Politics and International Relations
The study of politics examines national and international political institutions, systems and forces. These include governments, parliaments, parties and elections, as well as international alliances and conflicts, human rights, global poverty, war and political violence. The School, the oldest and largest of its kind in the Republic of Ireland, is dynamic, multi-faceted and highly-international, and is in the Top 100 QS World University Rankings by subject area. It offers a wide range of exciting and professionally-valuable programmes of study at undergraduate and graduate level and selected programmes include opportunities to undertake an internship. Faculty are engaged in cutting-edge research on a wide variety of political issues, including ethno-political conflict, human rights, and Ireland's role in the European Union, to name just a few.
