Our faculty buildings are the ideal venue for meetings, staff training, ongoing courses or weekend conferences. We have a range of rooms, from classrooms for 20 to auditoriums for 500 people.

Newman Building
Overlooking the lake, the Newman Building is one of the hubs of the campus. Designed for a modern University, its many lecture halls and meeting rooms are well fitted for any event. They are linked by bright, open spaces that are regularly used by visitors as assembly points or as exhibition and poster board areas with 650sqm available.
Up to 7-tiered lecture halls are available in the Newman Building, each with seating capacities between 200 and 500. A selection of 20 breakout or seminar rooms can also accommodate 20 to 80 people each.

Dining with us
Our in-house catering team, O’Reilly Hall Catering Panel and on-campus licensees’ all have experience built on many years of hosting events. The same attention is applied to each event, whether it is a Gala Dinner, a fork supper or morning coffee.

Staying with us
With over 2300 rooms available to let, from June to August each year, UCD has the largest number of rooms of any University and boasts some of the finest student accommodation available.
Over 200 of the best student rooms are reserved for Conference delegates wishing to take low costs accommodation through the summer. These can be booked through the UCD Conference & Events Office on 716 2827
The main body of the Student Accommodation at UCD Village is licensed out to USIT for summer letting and these rooms are taken by groups ranging from conferences and language schools to summer visitors to Ireland It has a 24-hour reception service and guests will find shops, snack bars and a launderette service on campus.
Year-round accommodation is available in local hotels ranging from 3 to 5 star, all within walking distance of the University.

Relaxing with us
Visitors have a superior choice of sports facilities on campus. The Sports Centre has state of the art fitness equipment. There are also 24 pitches, an eight lane Olympic standard athletics track and eleven tennis courts: UCD Sports Centre.
... And the delights of Dublin's city centre are on our doorstep.
