ScienceWatch nomination for Prof Higgins

Professor Des Higgins talks with ScienceWatch.com and answers a few questions about his publication, Clustal W and clustal X version 2.0. This paper, which was published in the journal Bioinformatics in November 2007, has been highly cited in the past year. It describes the computer programme, Clustal that is widely used in molecular biology for aligning sets of related protein or DNA (or RNA) sequences together. ScienceWatch named this publication as December's fast breaking paper in the field of computer science.
