Scanning Electron Microscopy
Our laboratory supports basic scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of samples for biological and material sciences.
Services:
Scanning Electron Microscopy with Cryo
The SEM is equipped with a cryo stage that allows examination of hydrated samples and often avoids chemical fixation of biological samples.
Scanning Electron Microscopy with Elemental Analysis
It is also possible to combine basic mode SEM with elemental analysis using the attached energy dispersive spectroscopy system.
Scanning Electron Microscopy with Cryo and Elemental Analysis
SEM investigation can be comprehensive when used in combination with cryo stage and elemental analysis.
Scanning Electron Microscopy and Imaging Training
Two day training courses are offered to include sample preparation by critical point drying, gold/carbon coating. Training is offered in the use of SEM and digital imaging and analysis.
Scanning Electron Microscopy, Imaging and Cryo Training
Five day training courses are offered to include sample preparation and use of the cryo stage. Use of SEM and digital imaging and analysis.
Scanning Electron Microscopy, Cryo, Elemental Analysis and Imaging Training
Five day training courses are offered to include sample preparation, use of the cryo stage and elemental analysis system. Training is also provided in the use of SEM and digital imaging and analysis.
