Event: Schools lecture: "Nanochemistry - Medicine beyond the Molecule"

The speaker is Professor David Smith from York University. His title is 'Nanochemistry - Medicine beyond the Molecule'. This lecture is sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).

The lecture will be aimed at 16-18 year-olds, i.e Leaving Certificate classes and there will be a nominal charge of one euro per student. The lecture theatre holds 300 students so school parties will normally be limited to twenty students.

School groups will be accommodated on a first come first served basis and application forms will be circulated to schools at the beginning of November. To reserve places, please contact Dr. Claire Twomey (claire.twomey@ucd.ie).

About Professor Smith
Professor David Smith is an outstanding young lecturer who received the Royal Society of Chemistry's national teaching award in the UK three years ago. He is much in demand as a lecturer to schools and addresses audiences of up to 1000.
