CSCB researcher Professor Thorri Gunnlaugsson receives RSC award
CSCB researcher Professor Thorri Gunnlaugsson from the TCD School of Chemistry was awarded the Royal Society of Chemistry Bob Hay Lectureship in December 2006. The award was presented to Professor Gunnlaugsson at the UK Macrocycles and Supramolecular Chemistry Group annual meeting which was held in Belfast from December 19 - 21.

The prestigious award lecture is given in memory of Professor Bob Hay, one of the pioneers of macrocyclic chemistry in the UK. This is the first time that this prize has been awarded to a recipient that works outside of the UK. At the same meeting Ms Buddhie Lankage from TCD received a prize for the best poster. Ms Lankage works in the research group of CSCB researcher Professor Sylvia Draper.
