Hello and welcome to the website of UCD Dramsoc!
At the ripe old age of 82 we still manage to put on an average of 40 plays a year (two a day at 1pm and 7pm), numerous workshops and participate in the annual ISDA Festival.
Throughout our long and successful lifetime we have nurtured the
creative talents of Actors, Writers and Directors the likes of Conor McPherson,
Frank Kelly, Neil Jordan, Gerry Stembridge, Brenda Fricker, Frank McGuinness,
the list just goes on and on...
Not only do we offer you (the highly over rated) fame and fortune, there is much more to Dramsoc than just Acting. Why not try your hand at Set Production, Lighting, Sound, Make-up, Costumes, Directing, and much more. We ensure that there is something for everyone, from those who like throwing orders about, to those who like getting all dolled up, even the odd few with a festish for Power-tools.
Oh and how could we forget the social side of things! Arguably the most important aspect
of Dramsoc, one which is at the heart and soul of the society! Why not come along to our
Halloween and Christmas parties or the highlight of the Dramsoc calendar the 1950’s
themed Swing Ball!
