The ERASMUS Programme
| Every year, some 80% of fourth year students avail of the opportunity to study at one of 20 schools of architecture around Europe, in Hong Kong and in San Francisco with which UCD has an exchange arrangement under the ERASMUS programme. ERASMUS stands for EuRopean Community Action Scheme for theMobility of University Students. It is a European Union student exchange programme. It is a part of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme and is the operational framework for the European Commission's initiatives in higher education. The ERASMUS student network can be found here. At the UCD School of Architecture, fourth year students choose to spend either a first or second semester in one of the many schools of architecture with which UCD has an exchange agreement. These include Arhaus, Darmstad, Delft, Weimar and Oslo. Students also travel to Hong Kong and UC Berkeley in San Francisco. This provides them with an invaluable opportunity to experience architecture in a variety of cultural contexts. For further information on the UCD Architecture ERASMUS programme, contact Daniel P. Sudhershan, Erasmus / International Coordinator. |
