An engineer working for Shell E&P Ireland Limited on the Corrib project has been shortlisted for the IChemE 2011 Young Chemical Engineer of the Year Award. Paul Nagle, a Flow Assurance Engineer, was nominated for the key technical role he played in the various licensing applications submitted for the Corrib gas onshore pipeline. A native of Dublin, Paul has been working on the Corrib project for the last four years. The IChemE young engineer award recognises the individual who best demonstrates his/ her achievements and tangible application of chemical, biochemical and/or process engineering skills to address important economic, environmental or social issues. Open to all, the awards attract entries from all over the world. They are recognised internationally and are widely considered to be the most prestigious in chemical engineering.
