Role

The College is a critical strategic and management link between the University and the individual Schools which form the fundamental academic and research units. The College provides academic leadership and support, for Schools in the delivery of their education and research activities.

The mission of the College of Engineering and Architecture is to be a leading European College, advancing knowledge and fostering innovation and, in doing so, making a major contribution to Irish economic development and to the other aspects of the mission of the University.

Vision Statement

The College of Engineering and Architecture aims to become:

• A leading international research-intensive College within the University where excellence in education - at undergraduate and graduate level - and research fosters innovation, and creativity;
• A leader in developing meaningful multidisciplinary collaborations between the disciplines of Engineering and Architecture with those of the Physical and Life Sciences, Medicine and Business 
• An educator of future Engineering and Architecture leaders in Ireland and abroad
• A College where international competitiveness is the benchmark for everything that we do.
• A major player in meeting national and global engineering and architecture challenges and a significant driver of the Irish Economy through our graduates, our intellectual property and our industrial collaborations.
