Department Head, Michael Gilchrist, makes a presentation to Donal Hughes.

Recalling his academic background and extensive industrial experience prior to joining UCD, Prof. Gilchrist commended Donal's significant contribution as Programme Director to the growth and development of the Master of Industrial Engineering (MIE) Programme and its successful rebranding in recent years as the Master of Engineering (Management) degree. The large gathering of Donal's colleagues, friends and past students wished Donal the very best on his retirement and, as a token of their appreciation and esteem, presented Donal with Lousie Kennedy designed Tipperary Crystal vase.
