Research Interests:
- Fundamentals of optics and the electromagnetic theory of diffraction.
- Optical Signal Processing, including applications of the Wigner Distribution Function and the Fractional Fourier and Linear Cannonical Transforms.
- Optical encryption.
- Surface relief diffraction gratings and refractive melted microlens arrays.
- Holographic materials, photopolymers, holographic optical elements and holographic data storage.
- Optical fiber Bragg grating sensors.
- Optical metrology including confocal microscopy, holographic interferometry and speckle photography and interferometry.
- Solar light concentrators and energy conversion.
- Optoelectronics and applied optical engineering.
- Fast numerical algorithms for the design and analysis of optical systems.
