Welcome to the Environmental Unit's new web page. The
Environmental Unit was set up in 2002 to address various
environmental issues within the University, primarily
to reduce the amount of waste being sent to landfill.
So far this has been achieved by diverting all Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment either for recycling,
reprocessing or recovery. A very successful paper and
card recycling scheme has been adopted widely throughout
the Belfield campus, and continues to grow. Over the
coming year, the Environmental Unit will continue to
expand recycling schemes within the University.
The information on this webpage is aimed as a guide
for staff with regards to the various procedures in
place within the University. It is hoped to keep up-to-date
information about current developments in the Environmental
Arena for both staff and students alike. Any suggestions
or comments on the content of this webpage would therefore
be gratefully appreciated.
