What are they?

The Mobius Loop:

The Mobius Loop means that a product is recyclable. Each arrow represents an aspect of the recycling process; collection, recycling & resale. This label has often been mistakenly thought to mean that the product has been recycled.

 

The European Ecolabel:

The European Union Ecolabel can be used by goods that have a lighter environmental footprint than similar products performing the same function.

The Blue Angel:

The Blue Angel rewards businesses which show commitment, creativity and innovation for the protection of the environment. It highlights products and services which are optimised in their impact on the environment.

The Green Dot:

It signifies the supplier of packaging marked with the Green Dot has financially contributed to the cost of recovery and recycling. It does not mean that the product is recyclable.

The Forest Stewardship Council:

The symbol - as well as the letters FSC and words 'Forest Stewardship Council' enable customers to recognize responsible forestry products in stores around the world.

Appliance Labelling:

Energy Labelling of appliances was first introduced in Ireland in 1995 under EU legislation. Energy labels help you to make a more informed choice when buying an appliance by allowing you to easily compare the energy consumption of different models.
