The Master of Education programme is a 90-credit taught modular degree programme delivered over two-years on a part-time basis. It provides students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of issues in education, and develop expertise in one area of professional development.
Students are given support in areas such as research methods, library use and computer skills.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the programme students will have deepened their understanding of key issues within the field of education, familiarised themselves with the latest national and international research in education, as well as having developed expertise is one particular area of professional development.
The emphasis throughout is to develop critical skills of enquiry as students debate and discuss other key issues relating to education both nationally and internationally.
Assessment Procedures
The programme is assessed by continuous assessment (projects and
assignments). Research assessments under the supervision of one or
more members of the academic staff are also carried out.
