Guest Lecture Series
In the first of the Education 100 lecture series given by distinguished international speakers as part of the events celebrating the centenary of the School of Education in University College Dublin, Professor Lorraine Ling, gave a lecture entitled Values in Education:Post-Traditional and Radical Centre Approaches on 9 February 2009. This proved to be stimulating lecture enjoyed by the large audience who attended on the night.
Lorraine Ling is Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Education and Director of the Bendigo Campus in Victoria, Australia . Professor Ling is an internationally known and respected scholar and educator and is involved with international research projects into education policy and the changing nature of academic work. She is also involved in the professional development of teachers and academics. Her research expertise is in: values and equity issues; educational administration and policy; professional development and the political, economical and social context of education and training.
