UCD School of Education Graduates Present Papers at the National Conference of the Psychological Society of Ireland

Six Graduates of the MA in Educational Psychology class of 2016 presented papers in two symposia at the National Conference of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), which was held in Athlone on 10th-12th November 2016.

The topics were: Inclusion of students with ASD in second-level schools (Bridget Rodden);  Internalising mental health difficulties amongst primary school pupils (Agnes Behan), Provision for pupils with additional educational needs in Gaelscoileanna (Mary Barrett); Student engagement amongst second-level students (Sonya Slattery);  Induction and continuing professional development needs of teachers in special ASD units in primary schools (Caitriona Finlay); Evaluation of a literacy intervention with young adults in Youthreach settings (Caroline Donnelly). 

The presenters were supported in this endeavour by their research supervisors, Dr William Kinsella and Dr Sheena Burke.
