On 27th November 2017, a half-day seminar and discussion was held on what works to improve children’s social and emotional learning and wellbeing, jointly organised by Queen's University Belfast, the Public Health Agency for Northern Ireland and the Department of Education for Northern Ireland. 

Dr Seaneen Sloan, UCD School of Education presented on the impact of Nurture Groups on social and emotional wellbeing of young children in Northern Ireland.

The event brought together teachers, Principals, researchers, the Public Health Agency and the Department of Education in addition to other key stakeholders whose focus is improving outcomes for children.
