Researchers from the UCD School of Education to Develop Programme for Enhancing Educational Resilience

PROSPER: The Professional Student Programme for Educational Resilience

Researchers from the UCD School of Education are working with two DEIS schools in Dublin to develop a programme for enhancing 11 - 14-year-old students' educational resilience. The 6-week competencies training programme will be embedded in English and Social and Personal Health Education (SPHE) and will be made available to all schools in Ireland through open-access publishing in 2019. The project team (Dr Jennifer Symonds and Dr Benjamin Torsney) will also conduct a mixed-methods evaluation of the programme that will inform the final programme manuals. The project is funded by the Irish Research Council under the award Research for Policy and Society.

Inquiries about the programme should be made to Dr Jennifer Symonds (jennifer.symonds@ucd.ie)
