Assessment Criteria

The following selection criteria will be applied in assessing applications for UCD ENERGY21 Fellowship Programme. Each application may receive maximum of 100 marks.

Track Record /Research Potential of the Applicant (30 marks)

  • Research experience
  • Research results
  • Research competencies

Training and Career Development Aspects and Impact of the Fellowship (25 marks) (Priority in case of ex aequo)

  • Clarity and quality of career development and training plan
  • Potential for acquisition of new scientific and transferable skills
  • Potential to acquire new knowledge

Quality of the Research Project (25 Marks)

  • Scientific quality and research impact
  • Originality and innovativeness of the proposed research
  • Proposed methodology and feasibility of the project

Appropriateness of the proposed PI and outgoing host Organisation (20 marks)

  • Suitability of the UCD PI
  • Suitability and quality of the Outgoing Host Organisation
  • Support of the Outgoing Host Organisations for the implementation of the research proposal
