Patrick O’Brien (UCD)
Chair: Dr Niamh Pattwell (UCD)
Humanities Institute of Ireland, H205: 4pm-6pm
The EGS is delighted to announce the first Medieval literature seminar of the term at 4pm the 6th of March in the Humanities Institute of Ireland. Patrick O'Brien, a recently completed UCD PhD student, will be presenting a 45 minute paper on Piers of Bermingham, bringing the literal reading of Piers back into parity with more ironized readings of Piers as a 'flower' of English knighthood. The EGS is delighted to welcome Dr Niamh Pattwell, UCD lecturer in Medieval English literature as chair for this session.
