Re-Reading the Renaissance: Texts and Contexts
Professor Danielle Clarke (co-ordinator)
Examining a range of critical texts, this module will introduce students to a variety of theoretical approaches to the analysis of early modern literature and culture. These will be explored through detailed readings of key Renaissance texts, as students will be encouraged to develop their close reading skills as well as learning some of the main concepts mobilised in the study of Renaissance literature and culture. This module will thus equip students with the skills required for further study in the field of Renaissance literature and culture.
