Ronan Sheehan: Writer-in-Residence, 2009-2010
Ronan
Sheehan will be Writer-in-Residence in the UCD School of English, Drama and
Film for 2009-2010. Amongst his
many achievements, Ronan Sheehan was a Member of the Studies Editorial Board,
1993-2003 and Director of Poetry, Ireland, 2000-2006. He was awarded the Hennessy Literary Award (1974), the
Rooney Prize for Literature (1984) and an Arts Council Film Script Award
(1991). His publications include Tennis Players (1977), Boy with an Injured Eye (1982), The Heart of the City (1988), Paradise (1994), Who will preach the gospel in Hereford? (1994), Foley’s Asia (1999). He is currently working on a new novel.
