Biography:
| Nerys Williams joined the department in 2003. Her DPhil research focused on a reading of error and the lyric in the poetry of Charles Bernstein, Lyn Hejinian and Michael Palmer. Having completed her DPhil at Sussex (2002) she worked as a lecturer at Trinity College, Dublin. She has also worked outside of academia in fields ranging from psychiatric nursing to BBC Cymru. |
Research Interests
| Modern and Contemporary American Poetry and Poetics; relationship between poetic practice and theory; recent Anglo-Welsh poetry. Her book length study of contemporary American Poetry and Poetics - Reading Error was published by Peter Lang at the close of 2007. She has recently completed a study of Contemporary Poetry for Edinburgh University Press (publication April 2011) and a volume of poetry with Seren press entitled Sound Archive - (publication March 2011) |
