Careers
Students are equipped to advance their professional work in the theatre, media and cultural sectors, to teach drama and theatre in a variety of settings (school, community, youth), and to pursue further academic research.
MA graduates of Drama Studies programmes have gone on to careers in education at first and second levels, and at third level in Trinity College Dublin, IADT, NUI Cork, University of Ulster, IT Sligo, IT Dundalk, New York University and University of Sheffield amongst others.
Past students are also working in theatre as teachers, directors, writers, actors, managers and producers. Many have found employment with professional companies and venues such as the Abbey Theatre, the Dublin Gate Theatre, Tall Tales Theatre Company, Rough Magic Theatre Company, Gúna Nua Theatre Company, Arambe Productions, Blue Patch and Sticks and Stones Educational Theatre Company, for example.
Other graduates work in media, arts management, digital industries, PR, personal development, psychodrama and publishing.
