John Buckley: Prior to coming to UCD, I spent a number years in the USA & UK working in the catering & housing sector. I joined UCD in 2000, working initially in UCD HR before moving in 2003 to the UCD School Of Veterinary Medicine where I’m currently based in the School/Programme Office.I play squash in the Leinster League along with Tennis for my local club in Dublin. I’ve also taken part in a number of the annual Wicklow Run (Cycling) events.  I can be reached at extension 6101.

Conor Buggy: I am currently a Lecturer in Occupational and Environmental Studies at the UCD Centre for Safety and Health at Work. I’m the Programme Coordinator for the Higher Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work and the Professional Certificate in Environmental Management. I studied Environmental Science at TCD and Environmental Engineering at DCU. I’ve been working with UCD since 2010 but prior to that my postdoctoral work experience was in multinational multidisciplinary management consultancy. My research interests lie primarily in environmental awareness in education and in workplace communication.Outside of UCD I’ve a keen interest in LGBT advocacy and in animal rescue and I’ve raised money for both through marathon running.  I can be reached at extension 3454.

Margaret Brindley: I joined UCD in 1992 and since that time I’ve worked both on and off campus in several different Schools and Colleges in a variety of administrative posts.  I’m currently the Graduate School Manager in the College of Social Sciences and Law and a long-standing member of the UCD SIPTU Section committee.  I’ve also been a member of the UCD Equality Audit committee, served on the Taskforce for Change Management in the College of Life Sciences and the PMDS steering group, and I’m currently representing admin staff on the UCD Job Grading Committee, the Staff Development, Reward & Recognition working group and a member of the UCD Governing Authority.Amongst my interests are running, reading, cinema, theatre and sport. Ruth Harrison: I have worked in UCD since June 2010 and my current role is Business Operations Manager for the UCD College of Business.  Prior to this, I held a number of positions in UCD Registry.  Before joining UCD, I was employed in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. I love most sports and have been a loyal supporter of the Irish International Soccer Team for many years now.  This has brought with it much opportunity to travel widely in support of the team.  I have a real care for and genuine interest in people, hence my decision to take up the role of a Dignity and Respect Support Colleague within UCD.  I can be reached at extension 4744.

Sheila Maguire: I’m a member of the UCD Estate Services team and I’ve worked in UCD for over 10 years.  My current role is in Financial and HR administration.  I’m a UCD graduate with a degree in Social Science and I’ve recently completed a Masters in Human Resource Management (IPA). I enjoy a wide range of hobbies and activities but in particular I enjoy running, and whilst I have yet to win a race I believe the road to success is by trying. Michelle McDonnell: I joined the staff of UCD in 2006, working in Assessment until 2008. I am currently working in the School of Classics, Newman Building, as School Manager.  I did my BA in Greek and Roman Civilisation and English in UCD. Martin McNamara: I have thirty years’ experience of working in the health and higher education sectors, have worked at UCD for fifteen years and have been Head of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems since 2010. My interest in becoming a Dignity and Respect Colleague stems from an interest in leadership development, the impact of organizational system dynamics on interpersonal relationships and the support needs that arise from conflicts and tensions in challenging work environments. I have a Professional Diploma in Business and Executive Coaching from the Smurfit Business School and am also a Certified Analytic-Network Coach and an accredited provider of Oshry's systemic approach to understanding organizations.In my spare time, I enjoy hill-walking and learning languages and am currently studying Spanish, having completed a Diploma in French and a Beginner's Mandarin module. Deirdre Ohle: Since joining UCD twelve years ago I have worked in a number of positions in the UCD Library network. I currently work in the Health Sciences Library. Prior to joining UCD I worked in Aer Lingus where I had the opportunity and pleasure of both working with and mentoring colleagues from a wide and diverse range of backgrounds, cultures and beliefs.In my spare time I am committed to building my language competency in both German and Irish, I enjoy set dancing and when the elements permit, I enjoy hillwalking and travel with friends. Joan Simon: I am a Senior Technical Officer in SBBS, UCD Science Centre, where my main work area is the preparation and delivery of classes for undergraduate Biochemistry labs. I have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and an M.Sc. in Environment, Health and Safety. I am involved with arranging courses for technical staff in UCD and other colleges.My main outside interests are music, bowling, crochet and looking after my dog. I can be reached at extension 2238.

Ewa Szczupak: I joined UCD in 2008, after having spent 2 years working in Croke Park Stadium. I’m based in School of Law’s Programme Office and since last November I have been enjoying a new role in the School, supporting Teaching and Learning activities.I am a long term yoga practitioner and I have been teaching yoga since 2014 in various studios in Dublin.I can be reached at extension 4103.

Colleen Blaney Doyle: I have been the Student Adviser in the College of Engineering & Architecture since 2002.  Originally from America, I'm also an Irish citizen.  I recently completed my PhD in the UCD School of Education. My research interests are closely aligned with my profession and include first year student experience and engagement, STEM education and the role students' parents play in their academic success.   I'm married to Patrick and we have two daughters.  When not shuttling children to social events, I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts and being active in my local church.  You can contact me at ext. 1875.
