Postgraduate Programmes
The UCD Equality Studies Centre offers four postgraduate programmes:

Students may enrol in the programmes on either a full-time or part-time basis.
MSc IN EQUALITY STUDIES
GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN EQUALITY STUDIES
GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN EQUALITY STUDIES
The Master of Science, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate in Equality Studies are interdisciplinary postgraduate programmes taught by staff of the Equality Studies Centre and other academic units in UCD. They are designed to cultivate an appreciation of equality issues of both national and international significance and to explore their interrelationship.

The MSc and Graduate Diploma can be taken on a one-year full-time or two-year part-time basis while the Graduate Certificate is one-year part-time. All students are required to take a range of core modules. Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Mode A MSc students take one or three optional modules for credit while Mode B MSc students submit a minor thesis. There may be provision for progressing from the Graduate Certificate to the Graduate Diploma and for transferring from the Graduate Diploma to the Masters programme. PhD IN EQUALITY STUDIES
Students may undertake a research degree in Equality Studies on a full-time or part-time basis. Research students are generally registered to the MSc in Equality Studies by major thesis programme, in the first instance. Students who wish to proceed to the PhD programme undergo transfer assessment after the first year. If you are interested in applying for a phD or other research degree you are strongly advised to contact the School Office or a member of the academic staff whose research interests are relevant to your proposal to ensure that supervision can be provided.
