INNOVATION DUBLIN 2011: Creative Design Solutions by 1st Year Students in UCD
As part of the Innovation Dublin 2011 programme, UCD are hosting this exhibition, celebrating and displaying students’ work undertaken as part of a ‘Creativity in Design’ module. This is a core module for all first year engineering students, which can also be taken by a range of students from across the university as an elective module. The ‘Creativity in Design’ module provides an active-learning design experience for students through which they develop their observation skills, problem solving skills and their creative design potential. Using the design thinking cycle students aim to develop appropriate solutions to design problems. User-centred design, business viability and technical feasibility are of primary importance.
