UCD Orchestral Scholars: L'Esprit Nouveau
The Scholars of the UCD Symphony Orchestra make their full concert debut in a programme of music from "la belle époque" and beyond – chamber and salon-orchestra music written in France in the first decades of the 20th century. The concert will feature Martinu's jazzy score for a ballet about lovesick kitchen utensils and a syncronised screening of René Clair's 1924 film Entr'acte, for which Erik Satie composed his final completed score.
