The aim of the EWI is to create a body of research scholarship disseminated through teaching and outreach initiatives that will lead the world intellectually in divining a vision for a new, inclusive, egalitarian global order. The development of the body of research scholarship is pursued through a variety of 'teaching and research themes' that provide a focal point for research development and collaboration by members of the EWI network from different disciplinary traditions.
There are currently thirteen thematic clusters, convened by members of the EWI from across the University. These range from food to children's rights from health to the built environment, from business thics and globalisation to disability. These define both a teaching and a research agenda for the EWI.
