Welcome to the website of UCD'S Fencing Club, that is to say, your fencing club. Fencing has featured in every Summer Olympics of the modern games, and systems of fencing have existed since at least the 12th century. Why though, has something as archaic as sword combat lasted up until the present day? Perhaps a nostalgia for honourable combat, perhaps a love of one on one sport, the feeling of accomplishment after a hard night's training or even having read The Three Musketeers one too many times.
