The Forest Ecosystem Research Group (FERG) is an informal group within the Department of Environmental Resource Management, Faculty of Agri-Food and the Environment, University College Dublin. To find out more about the group, read the introduction.

This site aims to provide an overview of our research interests, and the context within which we work. The topics introduce major environmental issues which we are actively researching. Administratively, our work is organised into several projects.

If you need to find out more about a particular project, the person to email is usually the project manager, identified with each project. From time to time, we will update the topic pages, but they inevitably give only a very brief overview. If you have difficulty with the FERG website, contact the FERG Web Manager below.

FERG is led by Prof. E.P. (Ted) Farrell. For all enquiries regarding FERG publications please contact FERG Web Manager..
