Prof Seamus Fanning discusses the significance of antimicrobial resistance in the Food Chain

Institute Principal Investigator, Prof Séamus Fanning, and his team at the UCD Centre for Food Safety, featured in a recent episode of the RTE One television programme, Ear to the Ground, to discuss the threat posed by the increased numbers of resistant bacteria along the food chain.

In the interview Prof Fanning spoke of the challenges facing the food industry and public health as a result of this increase, and discussed the lead his team at UCD is taking in this area.
