Institute Director presents at Dublin TEDx Event

Professor Michael Gibney, Director of the Institute, spoke at the frist TEDx event to be held at UCD. In his talk entitled Hunger, Mike spoke about hunger as a global problem and how important the “first 1000 days” of life are.

Another TEDxUCD talk was given by Dr Nora Khaldi, a postdoctoral bioinformatics researcher in the UCD Conway Institute and in UCD CASL and who previously worked on the Food for Health Ireland programme. In her TEDxUCD talk entitled Now, Nora apoke about how functional foods, and in particular milk, present great opportunities to treat global health problems.
