Welcome to the home of UCD camogie
Here at the UCD Camogie Club we aim to provide anyone interested in the game an opportunity to participate. We encourage participation at all levels from beginners to elite.
We cater for any female who wishes to play our games or to be involved in the club at an administrative, coaching or supporter/non player level. Non-playing males are also welcome to become involved as are parent and staff. We field three teams in the Higher Education league and championship competitions. Our senior 1 team competes in the Ashbourne Cup and All-Ireland League. Our senior 2 team plays in the regional league and championship. While our fresher team competes in Higher Education fresher competitions and in 7 a side blitzes during the academic year.
All our teams train at least twice weekly and there are matches every two weeks generally in mid week. Training is organized to a high standard and is taken very seriously. Over the years our club has built up a reputation of friendliness and hospitality. Friends and relationships are made for life. 'Once a UCD camogie player always a UCD camogie player'.
The overall GAA club strives to help all our members both in their sporting and academic needs. The Club is in existence since 1908 and wishes to continue inculcate a sense of volunteerism and giving amongst its members: “Ni neart go cur le cheile”. There is a good social side to the overall GAA Club and hurlers, footballers, camogie players and handballers co exist in a friendly environment.
JOIN AND ENJOY, PLAY AND PARTICIPATE, GIVE AND BE HAPPY!
