Ladies Gaelic Football is a relatively new phenomenon as Cumann Peile Gael na mBan was only founded in 1974. Since then the sport has continued to expand both from a participation perspective and from a spectator point of view and today is one of the fastest growing sports in
The UCD club was founded in 1992 and is now an integral part of UCD’s sporting and social life. It competes in the O’Connor Cup intervarsity competition as well as in the Higher Education leagues. Freshers (1&2) and intermediate teams are also catered for and training is to the highest standard.
If you are interested in getting involved either as a player or a coach/administrator please don’t hesitate to contact our club representatives. Everyone from novices to inter-county footballers are catered for while the club will provide mentoring and coaching programmes for anyone interested in getting involved with team management or running the club itself.
Ladies Football is a contact sport and all players are advised to carry personal health insurance.
