Magic: the Gathering
No self-respecting CCG's section would be complete without Magic. Both loved and hated by gamers, it is one of the most popular card games running at the moment. Very popular amongst the UCD gamers.
VS
A strategic card game that simulates “Hero Battles”, featuring Hero's from DC Comics and Marvel. Another popular card game, that has recently started to gather a following in UCD.
Battle Tech CCG Melee
"You're playing what? Oh wow I remember that!"
Yes, that's right. Find your old deck, dust it off and bring it along for a friendly melee of nostalgic doom. Can interested people let me know through ucdgamesoc@gmail.com so that they can get the deck build rules and so that we don't start without anyone.
Saturday
11am – Magic Draft €10
This draft will be from the Tenth Edition Core set, with a minimum of 40 cards per deck. It will be a standard draft, with each player receiving 3 booster packs. Rules will be explained on the day for any new-comers to the game.
3pm – Magic: The Gathering, Multiplayer Melee
Round table melee, constructed (Lorwyn, Time Spiral, 10th Edition) decks only. Prise for 1st. All welcome.
Sunday
11am – Magic: the Gathering Special Event
Unhinged Draft, €5
We only have one box of Unhinged (we’re using up the leftovers from last year’s draft), so there will be a twelve player maximum on this draft. First come, first served.
3pm – VS Tournament
This event will be a standard tournament for constructed VS decks. New players are welcome, existing players know the drill.
