With its origins across the City of Dublin dating back to 1854, generations of students and future Irish and international leaders have been educated at University College Dublin, Ireland's largest university.

Since the early 1960s its various faculties have re-located to its current unified campus at Belfield, where more than 20,000 Irish and overseas students attend primary, post graduate and professional courses.

At Belfield, UCD has established strong linkages with the community in supporting education, the arts, research and innovation to underpin the emergence of a strong and balanced knowledge economy throughout Ireland.

UCD is now building on this heritage and record of success, establishing itself as a leading European university, with a striking redevelopment of its Belfield campus called the Gateway Project.
