Matt Dickson joined the UCD Geary Institute as a Marie Curie Research Fellow in June 2011 and will hold this position until June 2013. Immediately prior to this he was an ESRC Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Market and Public Organisation, University of Bristol, UK. In February 2009, Matt completed his PhD in Economics at the University of Warwick, UK, where he previously attained his Masters. Matt also has a first class honours degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Bristol. His research interests include applied micro-econometrics, intergenerational transmission and the economics of education and pay. Current research addresses the complex interactions between education, time- and risk-preferences, mental health outcomes and the transmission of these factors between parents and their children.
