What is Networking For
Leisure?
|
Networking for Leisure is a two-phase project
aimed at exploring the information worlds of
adults who are researching their Irish genealogy
during their leisure time.
To understand the information world of amateur
genealogists, this study explores the
interpersonal networking of this group and their
extension of their social networks to other areas
of their lives. This study is scheduled to last
four years and involves two phases of information
gathering with genealogists. This is the
first phase of the study.
This
project is supported by a grant from the Irish
Research Council for Humanities and Social
Science.
