If your concerns relate to academic matters, your first port of call should be your tutor (if you are in first year) or the relevant module coordinator. Their name can be found on course materials and on the online module descriptor. If your query is not satisfactorily answered by the module coordinator, you may contact the Head of Teaching and Learning, Dr Colman Gallagher (Room H002,

‌‌‌‌By calling to their office. Some staff operate an open-door policy, but because of large student numbers, most staff will dedicate specific times to dealing with student queries. These ‘office hours’ are displayed on the School notice board in the EH corridor Newman and are also listed here Academic Office Hours 2017/18 Semester One‌. If you are unable to visit your lecturer during these office hours, you may e-mail them. The School of Geography wishes to draw your attention to the Acceptable Use Guidelines in the University Student Email Policy.

E-mails that do not conform to this policy (i.e. are discourteous, aggressive etc.) will not receive a response and will be referred onwards for appropriate action. Some staff operate specific e-mail response hours, details of which can be found on your module syllabus.
