GPEP and TURAS presented with a Champions of EU Research award

GPEP has been awarded a prestigious new award for the TURAS project, which commenced in October 2011. This was a special award given for ranking 1st in ‘Sustainable and Resilient Green Cities’ in the Environment topic of the 2011 FP7 call. It was one of only eight given by Enterprise Ireland at the Champions of EU Research event in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Friday 8th June. Professor Zorica Nedović-Budić is the Principal Investigator of the 28 partner, €6.8m project. The award was accepted from the President, Michael D. Higgins, by the TURAS scientific co-ordinator Dr. Marcus Collier (pictured, along with Dr. Imelda Lambkin, National Director of FP7 Ireland) on behalf of our research manager Dr. Louise Dunne.
