Biography:
Miao Fu, was born in Guangdong, China. He completed his undergraduate studies at Peking University and attained a doctorate in quantitative economics from the Huazhong University of Science & Technology. Working principally in the areas of econometrics, GIS modeling, environmental policy and sustainable development and technology spillovers studies, he became an associate Professor of economics at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Miao subsequently worked as a post doctoral research fellow at Urban Institute Ireland and School of Geography, Planning & Environmental Policy, University College Dublin. In this role he worked in collaboration with AP EnvEcon on the Integrated modelling Project Ireland. Over the course of his career, Miao has been principal investigator or participant in several research projects. He has published one book and 21 journal articles. His current principal research interests lie in the areas of transport policy modelling and programming, GAINS Ireland modelling, as well as a number of quantitative economic research pieces. |
