There is a heavy emphasis on practical training in fieldwork, laboratory analyses, information sourcing, data analysis, reporting and communication. Some exercises provide experience in planning and teamwork.

Where can I go after the UCD MSc Applied Science (Environmental Science)?
Our graduates are building successful varied careers in environmental resources assessment, management and protection. A considerable number have been employed in consultancy positions but some are also with the Fisheries Boards, Local Authorities, Department of the Environment and the EPA. Some graduates have also continued their studies at PhD level.
If English is not your native language, unless you have done your primary degree through English in an English speaking country, an English language qualification is required for all programmes.
